Graduation Day 2019

Thanks to your incredible support, five beautiful dogs graduated in December, officially marking the successful completion of their training and their important new roles.

We were proud and delighted to honour the class of 2019, and our cadet Sean Cromwell who has successfully completed his training and is now a fully-fledged Guide Dog Trainer!

Guide Dogs Tasmania CEO, Elizabeth Barnes, said the day was an opportunity to acknowledge a wonderful group of people “all working together to produce dogs to help increase independence, confidence, mobility and social integration for people throughout Tasmania.”

Elizabeth said: “Today, we celebrate you – we celebrate the dedication you all show towards Guide Dogs Tasmania. Whether as a puppy development volunteer, a client, a donor, a sponsor, a staff member or a community relations volunteer – you all play a crucial role in the development and placement of Guide Dogs here in Tasmania.”
