By the time Phil turned six, he was diagnosed legally blind, and he’s been working out how to navigate his world with greater freedom and determination ever since.
He understands how important it is for people living with low or no vision, disability, illness or other life-challenges to be presented with possibilities and seek support.
Over the years, Phil has reached out for help from Guide Dogs and VisAbility Tasmania and used every service, program and aid available.
Today, with his seventh Guide Dog, Dudley at his side, Phil is one of the most experienced and passionate members of our community. He’s taken advantage of new technology and tools and built a busy, fulfilling life, a wonderful family and career.
